Anne Marsden
A lifelong passion for music, language and diverse experiences. A degree from Ga. Tech. Anne’s career reflects both her creative drives and her analytical bent.
For over 20 years Anne has been successfully launching new products and new companies in the US, Europe and Latin America. She has held Officer, VP and director level positions in Fortune 100’s and entrepreneurial start-ups, including Sprint, British Telecom, Jacada and Actel. Anne has been a key member of management teams that define new businesses, secure funding sources and drive execution. As a marketing consultant, she has been re-positioning clients and generating new revenue streams with innovative programs.
From building global outsourcing partnerships for British Telecom to developing an Analyst Relations program for Premiere Global, the focus has been on maximizing unique opportunities and creating meaningful connections.
As Chief Marketing Officer for Bestel, a start-up telecommunications company in Mexico, Anne was a member of the management team that found a unique market opportunity and raised $100 million in private equity to launch the business. She and the team took the company from a concept to being the largest provider of high capacity communications services in Mexico and cross-border with the US.
As head of Business Development for Columbus America Discovery Group, Anne worked on the “Ship of Gold” and what Life Magazine called “The Greatest Treasure Ever Found.” There, she and the team created a compelling marketing program that combined the mystique of sunken gold treasure with the fantastic tale of a ship that went down in a hurricane in 1857, and the story of modern day scientists/adventurers who found and recovered a ship over a mile deep in the ocean.
In 2001, Anne launched her own marketing consultancy. Through Marsden & Associates, Anne has developed long-term relationships with dozens of clients from a broad cross section of industries. Marsden & Associates’ client base, and their referrals, has been the primary driver for the company’s success and growth over the years.
Anne is also a co-founder and partner of DataCentric and a principal at Realistic Solutions. DataCentric is an IT managed services, Disaster Recovery, and website development, hosting and SEO firm that provides enterprise-level IT services to small and mid-sized companies. In 2005-2006, she drove the company’s growth to over 100 clients and operating profitability within the first 18 months of operations.
Anne earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Management from Ga. Tech. She is fluent in English and French with a strong working knowledge of Spanish.
Anne’s desire to give back to the community is expressed in her involvement in a number of organizations:
